CORE: Every student will take four CORE classes a day. Two teachers in a team-teaching setting instruct their subject given their expertise. For example, the math and science teacher will both teach math and physics. Our goal is to maximize student engagement in each class. We designed these classes to meet the requirements needed for university admissions. Some customization of these classes may be developed with your teachers to expand your perspectives and unique interests.
EXPLORE Academy: In the afternoon, students, guided by faculty mentors, will break new ground by integrating creative technologies, focusing on health and physical wellness, and enriching second or third language. In the Creative Technologies period students can take an art or film class, computer programming class, or combine the two and develop their interest in digital media arts or animation. In the Language and Learning Lab students will develop their language and cultural skills or take the extra time to study for an Advanced Placement class. In the Physical and Health Education period, students will run, swim, practice yoga and dance, as well as learn the principles of mental health and wellness.
