The Global Leadership Experience
American University Preparatory School
The Global Leadership Experience (GLE) at American University Preparatory School (AUP) allows a limited number of students to study for a single year at our exciting school. We developed the program to serve the needs of highly qualified students (international and domestic) who wish to experience rich educational experiences of AUP in Downtown Los Angeles but who are unable to enroll for the full four-year curriculum. GLE students are integrated into the standard curriculum, extra curricular activities, residential life, and leadership opportunities experienced by all AUP students. GLE students are expected to enroll in a full schedule of classes at AUP and live on campus with our regularly enrolled students.
GLE students’ course schedules will be individualized to reflect their unique experiences and aspirations. All courses will be graded and a transcript will be sent to the student’s current high school for articulation. GLE students must abide by all policies and procedures presented in the current AUP Student Handbook.
GLE students will not receive an AUP diploma. It is expected that students will work with their current high school to receive appropriate credit toward graduation from their GLE student exchange year at AUP.
