We believe that a private boarding school education is an investment in the students’ future and that the family has an obligation to contribute to their child’s education. We adhere to the NAIS guiding principle that the primary responsibility for financing a private education rests with the student’s family. However, we also realize that not every family can absorb the costs of private education. Thus, American University Preparatory School is committed to helping families that demonstrate a measurable need afford an independent boarding school education within the limitations of our budget. We have given over one million dollars in tuition assistance annually.
Need-Based Financial Aid
Prospective families must complete the online FACTS application to be considered for financial aid. Start by creating an account at https://online.factsmgt.com. Our institution identification is 35405. All financial aid applications are processed by FACTS, which provides a comprehensive needs analysis and an estimated amount that your family can contribute to educational expenses. FACTS is a third-party that enables our financial aid committee to make a fair and objective decision on the amount of financial aid to award each student.
Financial aid is awarded on an annual basis. Prospective and current students must apply and reapply every year. Please contact the Director of Enrollment Management for questions about the financial aid process at firstname.lastname@example.org.
